That openness is the appeal, and it is also why the sun and the wind hit Prosper patios harder than they hit a shaded lot in an older suburb. We build motorized screens and screen rooms that let you keep the view and lose the exposure.
Local Knowledge
Recent construction with clean, square openings and solid headers, which makes for a straightforward motorized screen install. Big yards with young trees mean there is not much natural shade yet, so the west and south sides of the patio take the full afternoon. Open land around Windsong Ranch, Star Trail, and the northern edge of town means steady wind; side-track retention is not optional here. Many homeowners are finishing the backyard in stages, and screens fit into that plan whenever the patio is ready.

Prosper's master-planned communities require an architectural request before exterior additions. Motorized screens in a matching color are routinely approved; screen rooms may need a drawing, which we provide.

Yes. Side tracks hold the fabric taut on both edges so the screen stays in place in everyday wind. In severe weather we recommend retracting them, and a weather sensor can do that automatically.
